Harbourline Logistics Expands Cold-Chain Network With Three New Distribution Hubs
The expansion adds temperature-controlled capacity in Rotterdam, Lyon and Barcelona, cutting delivery times for pharmaceutical and fresh-food clients.
ROTTERDAM β Harbourline Logistics has opened three new temperature-controlled distribution hubs in Rotterdam, Lyon and Barcelona, adding more than 40,000 square metres of cold-chain capacity to its European network.
Faster delivery for sensitive goods
The hubs are positioned along the company's busiest pharmaceutical and fresh-food corridors and are expected to reduce average delivery times on those routes by up to 18 hours. Each site operates 24 hours a day with continuous temperature monitoring and automated exception alerts.
"Our customers ship products where a two-degree change matters," said Daniel Okafor, Chief Operating Officer. "This investment gives them shorter routes, more monitoring and more predictable arrival windows."
Investment and jobs
The three hubs represent a combined investment of β¬62 million and will create approximately 310 permanent roles across operations, quality assurance and fleet management.
